Same Shit, Different Girl

Hello, I’m Bethan - a seventeen year old girl from a small Welsh town on the English Border.

First and foremost, banana milk, white chocolate and pink lady apples make me happy. I read Elle magazine on a monthly basis, listen to music near constantly and spend way too much time on the internet.

I am sad because time keeps moving faster and faster. I am worried because everything’s changing, and am consumed by this feeling that all is fleeting.
I am happy because I have the most amazing people around me. I spend a lot of my time around them, and we’re having a blast.

I am excited because things are happening and things are moving. We’re going places.
And I am hopeful.

I wear braces, have short yellow hair and dress with the fashion sense of a gender confused twelve year old.

I like horror films, and romantic comedies; books by Stephen King and Milan Kundera as well as music by everyone from Bullet For My Valentine to John Mayer.
Oh, and I am shamelessly obsessed with Glee.
I don’t know why, but people are often surprised to learn I’m not vegetarian. Please don’t ask me about my faith, I couldn’t tell you.
Halloween is my absolute favourite time of the year.

I don’t have any tattoos, or piercings apart from my ears. I don’t tend to wear a great deal of make up but I love an excuse to dress up.

At home, I am surrounded by the rural countryside. I am excited to see the world, from Seattle to Rome, and Paris is one of my favourite cities.

I drink an awful lot of tea, and I’m an avid fan of seafood.

I rarely wear dresses, but midi skirts are my favourite.
I’m a July baby, and in terms of sleeping position, I’m The Freefaller.

My life hasn’t exactly been the most exciting or eventful, but I’ve learnt a lot. Right now I’m learning how to live without love, and I consider myself in repair.

I don’t believe in fate, or luck but I like the idea of karma.
People often assume I’m sad when I get lost in the most small and insignificant of things - words, pictures - but I’m just very observant.
My friends would tell you I’m sarcastic and outspoken, but you can often find me sitting quietly hugging my knees.
I worry that people who don’t know me and my dry sense of humour think I’m just an arrogant arse, but I can assure you I don’t mean to be. Although, I’m quite flippant. I stick my tongue out a lot.
I can’t speak fluent Welsh, French, or British Sign Language, but I know a little of each. I regularly borrow my clothes from my brother, and my best friend Gavin.
I’m kinda tall but I feel quite small most of the time.
I own a blue guitar but I have no idea how to play it.
I’d give anything to speak Latin, and I’m pretty sure I belong in the 1800s.
That’s pretty much all there is to me.

Peace x
